Last rounds will begin at 4:45 on Saturday!
Welcome to National Gaming Day @ your library! We're having 2 (yes two!) tournaments today. This bracket is for the Mario Kart tournament at the Bear Valley Branch. Double elimination, super fun! Open to everyone that shows up. The tournament will start around 1:30, or earlier if the bracket fills up fast. Limited to 24 people.
The second tournament is for our top 4 players. We're taking on libraries from across the country! These matches should be amazing to watch! Let's see if the Phongster can go undefeated against the best in the country! To see our top players, check the rankings here: http://denverlibrary.gtsystem.org/leaderboard/19
See you today at 1!
Hello Moderators and Players. National Gaming Day is quickly approaching and we will be pushing out improvements to the site in the coming weeks. Before that can get started, I am going to be updating some of the backend code here at GT System on Monday Morning, October 19. You may see an hour or so of downtime, but the site should come back up exactly as it was before. New features and fixes will follow soon.
Hey everyone!
National Gaming Day @ your library is coming up! So far, Park Hill is going to have a Mario Kart tournament (woo!) that starts at 2 and Bear Valley is going to participate in a nation-wide Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament which starts at 1!
How Bear Valley's tournament will work:
Our top 4 players will play other top players from a pool of 3 other libraries (4 total). The 4th ranked player will play everyone else's 4th ranked player and so on. Each of the matches is ranked like we've been ranking our matches, so the top 2 libraries will get to move on and challenge other libraries. There should be some awesome match-ups and mad skills to behold.
Also @ Bear Valley: I'll have another Wii set up so those of you who want to play instead of watch can.

Whoo! There were some sweet match ups this time! And the last round was crazy! Vutard nailed Daidailo off the screen with Link's special move. It brought a tear to my eye.
We're going to have another tournament next month, if everyone agrees to it.

Look out Phongster!
At the end of both Saturday tournaments, the champions from both libraries decided to challenge each other on Through Fire and Flame by Dragonforce on Expert. After over 7 minutes of crazy finger jamming, wrist numbing insanity, Schlessman's champion Daniela came out victorious! Congratulations Daniela! Go home and ice those fingers!
